Session 4

The party finally caught up to Gertrude the Gelder and her band of undead. The other undead members were under her control using a Warden Stone and control collars. Additionally, there were two adversaries attempting to attack the party from afar.

During the fight, Thelmivor managed to obtain the Warden Stone and take control of one of the undead. After making short work of the undead, the party began to pursue the two distant adversaries, who attempted to flee on foot. The taller of the two turned out to be an Illithid, who had taken control of a particular halfing - Joanna’s old charge. There were also several undead who had fled early on in the engagement or beforehand, which were defeated by a new ally - a Dwarven Death Cleric named Ulfberht.

The party finished off the illithid and captured their previous companion, whose mind appeared to be broken by the illithid. During questioning, the party managed to obtain several scraps of prophecy that would need to be deciphered. Ulfberht assisted with researching these scraps, leading the party to an obscure faculty member of the Divination department of the College of Keth.
