Rumors #
The party has picked up rumors along the way that could lead to more adventures or trials to overcome. Here’s the ones they remember.
- There is a creeping famine in the Sea Elf Kingdom
- The famine seems to be divine in nature, as priests and clerics are struggling with spells and prayers, and often have agricultural blessings turn into curses.
- A dragon turtle has appeared at the Northeast edge of the Sea Elf Kingdom. It is claiming to be master of the bay it resides in, and is requesting tribute to allow ships to pass in peace.
- Oddly enough, it is only an adult dragon turtle - which is something the Sea Elves can repel with time.
- He may be able to be persuaded to leave
- A large whirlpool has appeared to the south of the Sea Elf Kingdom
- Oracles of the nearby sea elf agriculture goddess are starting to issue prophesies from another deity
- They often repeat the name “Loviatar”
- The southern-most island has completely ceased contact with the rest of the Sea Elf Kingdom
- There is a stench of death in the air, and the ocean itself is oozing
- Reports from a distance have noted that it is overgrown by mushrooms
- Multiple ships were seen leaving the island just after it cut contact, heading west
- The sailors on these ships did not seem to act normally, and they had odd small tentacles on their bodies if you look closely enough
- This corruption could be caused by the wild god Moander
- The youngest princess of the sea elves has been sickly lately
- Notably, she willingly goes to bed early, even retiring of her own free will
- She is described as feverish and has hallucinations
- The princess claims that her doll - a replica of Annalise Annais - is responsible for all of the misfortune on the islands
- The doll has been tested for magic multiple times and nothing has been found
