• This describes one of the 8 phoenixes in existence.
  • There are 4 for each of the cardinal directions, which are the more powerful quartet, and there are 4 for each of the non-cardinal directions.
  • Each phoenix goes to a specific leyline convergence to be reborn.
    • The locations of these convergences change seasonally, and there are no known patterns to the change.
    • A specific necromantic ritual can be performed at these spots, which causes the reborn phoenix to serve undeath instead of life
• The death, undead rebirth, and cleansing of one of these phoenixes signifies the end of troubled times
  • The phoenix can only be cleansed by being killed with a holy weapon and reborn
  • When reborn, the ashes must be purified with a Ceremony to remove the curse
• This stanza is both a prophecy and a warning
  • The ritual has been completed in the past, and the cleansing cycle has also been performed
