Backstory #

Warford grew up poor and joined the navy as soon as he could get in, it was a job that paid well and he was always good at working with his hands. He didn’t have any dreams of becoming a captain or anything, so he just had a modest job being a mechanic/repair man at sea. The job was uneventful most of the time, and Warford didn’t see combat that much. One day his ship was attacked by pirates, who slaughtered everyone else on the ship. Despite being able slip away, something about the pirate attack spooked him so much that he wanted to quit, but since his contract wasn’t up, he deserted. Unable to show his face in town again, he bought (or stole?) a tiny boat that he now lives out of. Warford still tinkers with mechanical stuff because it fascinates him.
